Feeling alone? Here are some statistics on single parent homes.
According to the 2004 US Census statistics on single parent homes, 26% of 73 million children live with one parent.
This number is only slightly over 25.5% in 2001 and 25.4% in 1996.
Nearly 10% of children that live with two parents - are in blended families...So if you are interested in getting married again, there is still hope!
3.9% of the 73 million children in the United States don't live with any parents. Some live with grandparents or other relatives and some without any family.
Of the 19 million children living in a single parent home 87% live with their mother and 12% live with their father.
If being a single parent child is the worst that your kid has to deal with, then GOOD!
Perk up and do the best that you can. Your children will grow up despite your best efforts, not because you stayed in a loveless marriage "for the children."
