Feeling alone? Here are some statistics on single parent homes.

One in four children in the US is raised by a single parent

According to the US Census Bureau report released in 2009 called 'Custodial Mothers and Fathers and Their Child Support: 2007'

Of the 80 million children under 21 years, 22 million are being raised in a single parent home... that is one out of every four children being raised by a single parent.

There are 14 million single parent households in America. This number has not seen significant change since 1994, with the percentage steadily going down.

Single parent homes are divided into 83% with single mothers and 17% single fathers.

Despite obvious financial problems and other disadvantages, there are families that succeed in this situation, resulting in a stronger bond between parent and child.
